KMD TACKLE was started back in 2004 when I started airbrushing and tying my own Bass Poppers. I have always loved to fish for Bass with topwater lures and flies. I caught plenty of fish with them and was surprised at how much abuse they could take. I gave a few of these poppers to some friends and they seemed to do well with them. They started asking me if I would tie some more for them and they would gladly pay me for my time and expenses.
The next thing you know I was spending more time in the paint booth or at the tying bench than I was fishing. The strange part was that I didn't mind. I was making a few extra bucks and I had found a new hobby to keep me busy through the times when the rivers were either frozen or too high to fish.
After a while I had dozens of Poppers of all different sizes and colors. "What do I do with all these things?" I thought.
That's when I started looking for some local shows to sell them at, but I couldn't just sell Bass Poppers though. So
I talked it over with my wife and son and we decided to have a go at
starting a business selling my Poppers and some other various fly fishing and tying items.
Well, it wasn't long before we decided that we needed to reach more customers, so thats when the KMDTACKLE.com idea came about.
Now, KMD TACKLE has a retail store as well as the website and we just keep growing and adding new products as often as we can.
We have met some great new friends along the way as well as some great customers too! A great big THANKS to all of you!

We ship via UPS or USPS Priority mail.
Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:
If within 60 days you are not completely satisfied with any of our products,we will gladly offer an exchange or refund your money. Please email me with a brief explanation of why you are returning an item or seeking an exchange. Said items must be clean, still in original packaging (if seeking an exchange), and must not be broken or show undo wear.
We do not charge for shipping exchanged items.
